Rules: Passing
In rugby the only way you can pass is backwards or dead flat. When you are running with the ball your team mates should all be running behind you to recieve the ball. Of course you don't have to pass it striaght behind you. The idea is to only pass just a tiny backwards to either side. If you don't pass it backwards however then it will be a penelty to the other side called a srum, I'll talk about that another time.
You can pass in whatever way you like. So if you are running with the ball and the defenders aren't around you then you can pass it a long way. To make the ball go faster the professionals spin the ball during the pass. You can't always pass like this though because if everyone is bunched up and your team mates are very close to you then all you have to do is pop it up to them. You can also do this if you have been tackled and a player is next to you.

Points
Since I've been blogging i havern't really told you many of the rules so today I'm telling you about how the points work.
When you place the ball over the line we call this a try. You get 5 points for scoring one of these. It used to be 4 but everyone kept scoring penelties and drop goals so they raised it to five to make the game more interesting. When you score a try however you get a chance to get two more points by kicking the ball through the goal. This is called a conversion.
A penalty is three points when you kick it through the goal again. You get penalties for knock ons and other things like that.
And finally there's a drop goal. You get three points for these as well. You have to let the ball bounce on the floor before you kick it through the goal. This is how Johnny Wilkinson scored when England won the rugby world cup.
So there you go, that's how the points work in rugby.

Hi guy's today I'm telling you about the positions in rugby!
I know from here it looks really confusing but if you look at these instructions it will be really simple. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 are called forwards. They are the really strong guy's who generally win the game.I'll tell you about them today.
1 and 3 are called PROPS. Yes it sounds wierd but they are the really muscely plump guy's who are at the front of the scrum who are basically there for strength.
2 is the hooker he throws in the balls in the lineout and wins the ball in the scrum.
4 and 5 are the second row. THAT'S WHERE I PLAY BY THE WAY. We are really strong and win everything.
6 and 7 are flankers they are there to kill the fly half.
And finally number 8 is at the back of scrum and is aloud to pick and go.
What's coming up
Hi guy's again
